Purchase and installation of electric hoists

Oct 22, 2024

As an important lifting equipment, electric hoists are widely used in industrial production, logistics and transportation, construction and other fields. Its performance and service life have a direct impact on the production efficiency and safety of enterprises.

  1. Choose the right electric hoist model

When purchasing an electric hoist, the first task is to choose a model that suits the specific work needs. The following factors should be considered when choosing:

Rated lifting weight: Select the appropriate rated lifting weight according to the required lifting weight to avoid overload operation. The rated load of the electric hoist should be greater than the maximum weight that may be encountered in actual work. It is recommended to select a hoist with a rated load 20%-30% higher than the working weight to ensure the long-term use of the hoist under high load.
Lifting height: Determine the lifting height of the electric hoist according to the height requirements of the actual workplace. Generally speaking, an electric hoist slightly larger than the actual height of the workplace should be selected to avoid affecting the operation due to insufficient lifting height.
Frequency of use: Select the appropriate working level according to the frequency of use of the electric hoist. If the equipment is used frequently, it is recommended to select an electric hoist with a high working level to reduce wear caused by excessive use.
Working environment: Choose an electric hoist with the corresponding protection level according to the special environment of the place of use, such as high temperature, dust, corrosive media, etc.

  1. Correct installation method

When installing the electric hoist, ensure that the installation process complies with the requirements in the equipment manual to avoid equipment damage or safety accidents caused by improper installation. Here are some installation precautions:

Choose a suitable installation location: The installation location should be selected on a solid and reliable beam, and ensure that there is enough space around for operators. Avoid installing the electric hoist in places with vibration or impact.
Install protective devices: Protective devices should be installed on the hooks, lifting rings, etc. of the electric hoist to prevent falling when lifting heavy objects.
Carry out load test: After installation, a load test should be carried out to ensure that the safety performance of the electric hoist is good under full load and overload conditions.
